All safe in Albella following monsoon season
Despite the heavy rains during the monsoon season Albella and Bonami suffered no problems with landslips, the retaining wall built last year has prevented any slippage in that area. The road to Siliguri has however seen several major landslips and what would normally be a 2 ½ to 3 hour road trip from Kalimpong is now taking in excess of 7 hours with some particularly dangerous sections of the road.
Water supply situation continues to improve the bore well is providing around 2,500 litres of water per day and all the underground water storage tanks are full. Heshron says “the Boys are able to wash their clothes and take a bath whenever they want . So all are very happy with the water situation. “We make sure that nobody abuses it and use the water carefully”.
ABH provides a school band for independence day celebrations some of the boys who took part in the school Band during Independence day (15th Aug.2016) looking very smart in their band uniforms.

Sponsors required: In the new year we will be looking for six or more sponsors to take the place of the people who are no longer able to continue sponsorship. So if you know of anyone who would like to sponsor a boy please do ask them to contact me and I will be able to send an information pack to anyone who would like to consider sponsorship or are interested in finding out more about the work at Albella Boys Home. Information about ABH can be found on this website:
I have now received the Christmas package from Heshron containing the letters and cards from the boys. it is great to see from the photos, how the boys have grown since my last visit. Friends and I have the enjoyable task of sorting the letters and cards to be posted each sponsor.
On behalf of Heshron, Ebi, the children and the staff at Albella thank you for your continued support.
